Machine Tool Division
Mr. Bhattacharya has been associated with the machine tools industry for the last 30 years in various capacities. He started his career as a manufacturing engineer in M/s Escorts Limited, motorcycles division.
He later joined M/s. Batliboi Limited in 1988 in the Sales Team for Machine Tools and has ever since been interacting with the user Industry selling a variety of machine tools.
Mr. Bhattacharya joined LMW – Machine Tool Division in the year 1993 as a Regional Head and was heading the Sales and Service Team for the North Zone, this was the period when the Manufacturing Industry was moving to precision machining and increased productivity with the boom in the Automobile
sector and an opportunity to pioneer as a New Generation Machining Solution provider.
He has been interacting with a variety of manufacturing industry segments like the Automotive, Defence, Pumps, Valves, Textile, Industrial Machinery, and other General Engineering Industries.
From 2007, he has taken over as Marketing Head for LMW Machine Tool Division and Heads Marketing, Sales, Business Development Service and Application Engineering in his capacity as Vice President.
Lakshmi Machine Works,an engineering conglomerate, Lakshmi Machine Works Limited started its value driven machine tool division in 1988 to produce India’s finest range of CNC Machines. The journey of LMW was established in 1962 to provide Indian textile industry with the latest spinning technologies. Today, LMW is a leading textile machine manufacturer in India and one among the top three in the world to produce the entire range of textile spinning machinery. LMW’s foundry makes precision castings for industries worldwide. In 2010, the company has added an Advanced Technology Center to manufacture components for the Aerospace industry.

The machine tool division has the total capability to design and manufacture world class CNC turning, turnmill and machining centers. The high precision mother machines coupled with skilled people produce high quality products. We have made substantial investments in manufacturing facilities, which brings technological competence that address the global market. A dedicated spindle assembly produces high precision spindles upto 24000 rpm. They make different spindles like, belt driven, direct driven and built-in motor spindles. All the assembly lines are dust-free and temperature controlled to ensure maximum accuracy.
