5. Can you share a recent success story or project that highlights your company’s capabilities and impact on the industry?

We had the opportunity to be the sole tooling solution partner for one of the major automotive manufacturing plants in India. The customer had implemented MQL(Minimum Quantity Lubrication) in the entire plant. Guhring India has a top-notch manufacturing & inspection set-up for MQL tools. Guhring has a wide range of tool holders & accessories for MQL machining. With this, we were able to support the customer with supply & technical support for their complete tooling needs.

MQL is a lubrication strategy used in machining and manufacturing processes where a small amount of high-quality lubricant is precisely applied to the cutting tool/workpiece interface. Here are some key points about MQL:
1. Lubrication Amount: MQL systems deliver a minimal amount of lubricant, typically in the range of 20-200 millilitres per hour. This is significantly less compared to traditional flood or mist lubrication methods.
2. Benefits:
o Reduced Friction and Wear: Provides adequate lubrication to reduce friction and wear between the cutting tool and workpiece.
o Improved Tool Life: Helps in extending the tool life due to reduced heat generation and wear.
o Environmental Impact: Minimizes the use of lubricants, leading to lower consumption and waste generation, which is environmentally beneficial.
o Better Surface Finish: Can contribute to achieving better surface finish on machined parts.
o Health and Safety: Reduces exposure to lubricants for machine operators.
With all these features & benefits there is a saving of 10-20% in overall plant cost.
