The future will be machining centres combined with automation. Smart solutions will be key to address customer’s needs.
2. What innovative technologies or solutions is your company implementing to stay ahead in the market?
Last year we introduced the Protect Line. This is a digital twin that monitors the machining process 800ms ahead of the real machining process. Thus, the software is able to avoid machine crashes.
3. How is your company addressing the challenges faced by the machine tool industry today?
We are a project oriented manufacturer, meaning we adapt to the challenges of our customers since decades. The spirit we established during this time is also helping us facing today’s challenges.
4. What role does sustainability play in your manufacturing processes and strategies?
As one of the few machining centre manufacturers we are SBTi committed, and we release a yearly sustainability report. This report describes in detail the projects we work on to reach the SBTi standards.
Our commitment to sustainability also extends to our customers: The machining centers of the CHIRON Group and the manufacturing processes they enable are designed for efficiency. Their ecological footprint is impressive in terms of energy requirements as well as the use of resources such as production time, space requirements, investment, and personnel. A prime example: the Micro5 for high-precision machining of delicate parts in the smallest of spaces, with up to 50 times lower energy consumption compared to conventional systems.

1. What do you foresee as the major developments in the machine tool industry over the next five years?
You can foresee advancement in hardware and software coming in with more smart features & networks, Automated and IOT ready machines, Artificial intelligence

As a trend setter and solutions provider, progressing with the latest trends and demands of the market, customers are very important and thus we are always adapting these demands and implement them in our machines.

Always bring in new technologies and innovations to build a sustainable product that would also take care of our planet earth.

Technology, Processes and Being part of all the developments in the manufacturing industry as such and fulfilling customer needs and expectations is always challenging and keeps on motivating to do something new and sustainable.
