Global Post-Pandemic Demand Bounce-back: Is India’s Supply Chain Ready

Leading carmakers like Maruti Suzuki India and Hyundai Motor India reported car sales in September 2021 that surpassed pre-pandemic levels, reports Business Standard. Speaking at a recent banking conclave, RBI Governor Mr. Shaktikanta Das said that “There are signs that consumption demand triggered by the festive season is making a strong comeback. This would encourage firms to expand capacity and boost employment and investment amidst congenial financial conditions.” Indeed, demand for warehouse space has grown by more than 23 percent in FY 2021, as per a Knight Frank survey. All these trends indicate a strong demand comeback, indicative of similar trends in economies like the US and North Europe.

On Wednesday, 11 December 2021, DMI will host a webinar on this subject where industry thought leaders will discuss with Editor of Dynamic Manufacturing India, whether our supply chain companies – 3PLs, Warehouse developers, transporters, fulfilment and delivery partners – ready for a strong uptick in demand that seems to be coming our way.

MAIN TALKING POINTS

  1. What is your perspective and experience of demand in India (and the world) of consumer goods? How do you see the demand shaping up hereafter?
  2. What has been the impact of the last year and a half on the supply chain industry?
  3. How well prepared is India’s supply chain industry – 3PLs, Warehouse developers, transporters, fulfilment, and delivery partners – to service the current and the future demand trends.
