About Akash Forming Technologies (AFT): Established in 2011, Akash Forming Technologies (AFT) embarked on a journey to manufacture high-precision Sheet Metal Stampings for both domestic and global markets. Leveraging the extensive knowledge and experience accumulated over 35 years in the field of Stampings, the founders were previously associated with Akash Industries, established in 1977. AFT commenced operations as a Small Scale Enterprise, specializing in the production of Sheet Metal Components and Sub-assemblies for leading OEMs in the power generation and automotive industries. Our product portfolio includes sheet metal components for Alternators, Motors, Domestic Appliances, and Engine Filter Assemblies, among others.

Renowned for our commitment to excellence, cost competitiveness, skilled workforce, punctual deliveries, and advanced manufacturing facilities, AFT swiftly emerged as a key vendor to esteemed OEMs in both domestic and international markets.

Equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing infrastructure, AFT possesses the capability to produce high volumes within specified timelines while adhering to stringent quality specifications. Customization is at the core of our operations, as we tailor our offerings to meet the precise requirements of our clients, as outlined in their drawings or samples. Our manufacturing processes encompass a wide range of operations, including Blanking, Drawing, Bending, Piercing, and Forming, all executed on metal sheets using specialized tooling on designated presses.

Could you provide us with further details about the manufacturing facility and the machinery available in-house?
AFT boasts a lineup of cutting-edge machines, including Shearing Machine, Crane (Hoist), Arc Welding, Spot Welding, Hydraulic Press, Laser Cutting, and Circle Cutting Machine, among others, enabling precise and efficient manufacturing processes.

In addition to our advanced manufacturing facility, AFT houses a dedicated Paint Shop spanning 6000 square feet. Equipped with a comprehensive seven-tank surface treatment paint booth, a gas-fired Bulking oven, and a lat for process execution, our Paint Shop ensures meticulous surface treatment and finishing for our parts. We meticulously monitor bath concentration through diligent quality checks in the tub to uphold quality standards. Furthermore, we offer powder coating or e-coating options based on customer preferences, facilitated through robust tier-2 tie-ups for these services.

At the heart of our infrastructure lies our skilled and dedicated Human Resource team. Comprising production engineers, design and drawing specialists, commercial and accounting professionals, as well as experienced workmen, our team is committed to delivering exceptional product quality.

To meet customer demands effectively, we operate a dedicated packing department on-site. Here, trained workers utilize state-of-the-art facilities to pack finished products according to client specifications. Our packing operations utilize high-quality corrugated boxes to ensure the safe and secure transit of products to their destination.

How do you maintain quality standards within your facility, especially considering your significant export share?

Our primary objective at AFT is to ensure customer satisfaction by consistently meeting their requirements and delivering quality sheet metal pressed components. We achieve this through ongoing improvement efforts in our manufacturing activities and the effectiveness of our quality management system. For the year 2024, we have set several specific goals to further enhance our performance. These include meeting customer schedules, monitoring and reducing total rejections, minimizing customer complaints, initiating continual improvement projects in various areas, providing comprehensive training to our employees, increasing sales compared to the previous year, developing new components using existing facilities, and expanding our customer base. Through dedicated efforts and strategic initiatives, we aim to continually enhance our ability to meet customer needs and exceed expectations.
