Chiron Group Open House 2022
The Chiron Group Open House is an established platform for innovation and communication for the entire industry. This year, from 11 to 13 May, the event was organized in the German town of Tuttlingen where some 1,200 visitors saw innovative solutions in action.

AMB 2022
Chiron is participating in, AMB, one of the biggest international exhibitions for the metalworking, this year to be held in September at the Stuttgart trade fair center, Stuttgart, Germany.

Recent Notable Collaborations  

Collaboration with Zoller

The CHIRON Group first presented the FZ 16 S five-axis machining center at AMB in Stuttgart, Germany in September 2018. An important factor for high productivity is the fast, automated change of up to 162 tools in a pick-up process. But what about the path of the tools in and out of the machine? How can we ensure that the right tool is equipped? How can tools be changed with the maximum level of security and efficiency?

These are questions that ZOLLER and the CHIRON Group have investigated and for which they have found convincing answers as part of a cooperation project true to the motto »better together«. The approach: Integrating the CHIRON FZ 16 S five-axis machining center into the ZOLLER Smart Factory in Pleidelsheim, Germany to jointly test innovative procedures for moving tools into the machine and develop these for series production.

Collaboration with MOTOREX AG

The machining quality of a workpiece depends on the machine, the tools, and the cooling lubricant, although less attention is usually paid to the latter. The concentration might be too high, too low, or not maintained; the temperature might fluctuate – all of which can clearly be seen in the machining results. To keep the emulsion just right and supply it continuously to machines, the CHIRON Group is collaborating with MOTOREX AG. The system created by the Swiss lubricant specialist ensures continuous monitoring, dispensing, and maintenance. Moreover, it can be fully incorporated into Condition Line, the automatic condition monitoring tool of the CHIRON Group’s SmartLine portfolio. That’s why the CHIRON Group has, for many years, supported developments by MOTOREX to achieve automatic fluid management and the optimum conditions for machining different materials.

Organization’s Vision  

The CHIRON Group, headquartered in Tuttlingen, Germany is a global company specializing in CNC vertical milling and mill-turn machining centers, as well as turnkey and automation solutions. Comprehensive services, digital solutions, and products for additive manufacturing complete the portfolio. The Group has a global presence, with production and development sites, sales and service subsidiaries, and sales agencies worldwide. Around two-thirds of machines and solutions that are sold are exported. Key customer sectors are the automotive, mechanical engineering, medicine, precision engineering, aerospace industries, as well as tool manufacturing.

The CHIRON Group is the proprietor of the CHIRON, STAMA, and FACTORY5 brands for new machines, as well as the automation brand GREIDENWEIS and the retrofit brand CMS. CHIRON’s machining centers are renowned for their highly dynamic design and their precision. STAMA’s focus is on stability and complete machining, while FACTORY5’s expert area is high-speed machining of micro-technical components. GREIDENWEIS is a system partner for custom, end-to-end automation solutions, and CMS provides completely overhauled machines from the Group. The final core area of expertise in the CHIRON Group is in additive manufacturing products and solutions.

Chiron India Machine Tools Private Limited was established in the Year 2011 as a fully owned subsidiary of Chiron Group Germany responsible for all the pre-sales, after-sales, installation, and breakdown service providers for Chiron Group products sold in India.  Chiron Group has a presence of around 500 plus machines in India and Chiron India supports these machines by providing after-warranty service support, Annual Maintenance Contracts apart from supporting any new projects and requirements that arise from existing/prospective customers.  Chiron India has its sales & service personnel strategically placed across India with Bangalore as its headquarters, Pune serving the Western Region, Chennai serving the Southern Region, and New Delhi covering the Northern Region of India.
