Machine tool in general has been instrumental providing the much-needed cutting edge for supporting the manufacturing in all industry segment. The demand for the better throughput and increasing precision along with timely deliverance is the key and this is shaping the machine tool industry in present trend.

Bystronic being the global leader in the sheet metal industry has always thrived on the innovation as an important pillar of the company. Now the implementation of a “dual factory” is sought, where people work during the day and machines work at night. Integrating bending and cutting cells with the warehouse, Bystronic designed fully automatic, digital production. 1. What motivates you in your work within the machine tool industry?
The machine tool industry is closely held small community with majority of the people working knows each other for decades together and has a far better understanding of change in market demands and needs. The excitement is to be in this real world witnessing each milestone in the growth of Individual to larger organisation and to company all connected with the first machine you might have sold to them in initial phase. The motivation is the pure sense of belonginess in this journey of growth.
2. Who or what has been your biggest inspiration in your career?
Coming from small town and trying to learn the lesson of life to be fit in competitive environment it is only Inspiration which keeps you floating and be determinant to find your right path of success. Inspiration came from each entrepreneur stepping in big shoes to be a successful company, Inspiration came from the colleagues fighting to excel in his career, Inspiration came from the Managers who has achieved with hard work and still hungry for the more, Inspiration came from the Technology and Machine building passion which gives you highest satisfaction of knowledge to achieve and to share turning it in to valuable advice.
3. What key qualities do you believe are essential for someone to be a successful leader in this industry?
I always believe in one lesson of life, which is “People don’t like to be told, they like to be inspired” When we inspire others, we help them see their worth and potential. This can help raise their confidence and self-esteem, leading to tremendous success in their personal and professional lives.
What I strongly believed and adapted throughout my career is not afraid of criticism. Rather, I welcome it, understanding its value as a tool for growth. In fact, criticisms and questions often shed light on areas that require improvement or re-evaluation. They offer a chance to address issues early and create more effective strategies.
